The Human Rights Archives Directory is an ICA project to build an on-line directory of (1) archives that identify themselves as human rights archives and (2) archives that are part of a human rights organization and are open to the public.
The directory is now available in an ICA-Atom database. The database can be found here:
http://www.hrarchives.org/icaatom-1.1
This page was created for the initial stages of the project. For the most up-to-date information, please use the database.
Project Progress
To date, we have created over 20 entries for archives suitable for inclusion in the directory. Each of these entries has been sent to the relevant contact at the archives. All of the entries can be found on this site on both the Country/Region page and theInstitutions by Name pages.
To search for an entry, use the search box provided in the upper right-hand corner. Please note that this will also search all available text on this site.
Nomination Form
We welcome suggestions for archives to include in the directory. If you would like to nominate a site for the directory, please use the link below. One of the project directors will contact you if the site is appropriate for the directory.
